Luxury Skincare Photography: A Frozen-Treat Campaign for Lather
Some shoots are all precision. This one was all play. Lather makes some of the most luxurious organic skincare out there, and for this campaign we got to do something genuinely different. I headed to their location and teamed up with their graphic designer and creative director, and together we styled and shot the products as if they were frozen treats, turning rich creams and lotions into ice cream and freezing them into popsicles. It is the kind of concept that only works when everyone is in the room building it together, riffing on styling in real time until each shot lands somewhere between elevated and irresistible. Even with all that creative play, we kept the pace of a full production, capturing over 100 images in a single six-hour shoot on location.
A Sunny Lifestyle Shoot for Anatolio Juices and Dried Fruits
To bring the an organic juice vision to life, the client and I cast five beautiful and diverse models from Los Angeles, through social media outreach, and photographed them throughout a stunning mid-century modern Peerspace home filled with natural light and endless creative possibilities. The location gave us an incredible range of environments to work with all in one place, from a sunny outdoor patio and modern kitchen to a bamboo-lined deck, outdoor dining setup, cozy archway, and clean interior dining spaces.
Summer Campaign Shoot for Vallarta Supermarkets
It was a total joy collaborating with Esmeralda, the designer for Vallarta Supermarkets, on a vibrant summer campaign that will appear in signage across more than 60 of their stores. The project began with a creative test focused on an unusual visual idea, photographing food against a water backdrop. To help bring the concept to life, I built a small studio test using layered props, reflective water surfaces, and real Mexican dishes. These early images gave Esmeralda something tangible to present to her team as they explored the direction for the campaign.
Holiday Indulgence from Vallarta Supermarkets
It's officially Christmas cookie time, but we're dreaming of the incredible, beautiful, and absolutely delicious holiday treats we recently shot for Vallarta Supermarkets! From fluffy Conchas to the festive Rosca de Reyes and warming Ponche, everything was a feast for the eyes and the palate. The best part? Vallarta makes and sells all these authentic specialties, so you can skip the baking mess and get straight to the deliciousness. We highly recommend visiting your nearest Vallarta to try these must-have holiday treats!
Studio Precision Meets Culinary Authenticity
The Newport Beach location provided a stunning backdrop, specifically a massive, ocean-view, solid maple table. I strategically placed lighting to not only highlight the dishes but also to capture the immersive ambiance, the interplay of natural light, the large candles, and the orchids casting beautiful shadows.
