Studio Precision Meets Culinary Authenticity
While the studio keeps me driven, another passion is on-location restaurant photography. I thrive on the challenge of capturing exceptional shots within a live environment, collaborating closely with a skilled culinary team—a dynamic I value from my earlier days in commercial kitchens.
My research into Javier’s Cantina—its history, stellar reviews, and resilience post-COVID—was immediately compelling.
The Newport Beach location provided a stunning backdrop, specifically a massive, ocean-view, solid maple table. I strategically placed lighting not only to highlight the dishes but also to capture the immersive ambiance—the interplay of natural light, large candles, and orchids casting beautiful shadows.
The Pasadena location is new. It was being built for over a year before opening in the fall of 2025. The dishes on the menu are authentic, made with premium ingredients from the US and Mexico, crafted into classic dishes from the heart and coasts of Mexico. The culinary team prepares all items from scratch, which are sustainably sourced.
