Seven Days of Meals in One Box: Shooting a Take-Home Meal Kit for Tasty Brands

Tasty Brands serves K-12 school foodservice, and their take-home meal kit solves a real problem: feeding students when school is out. One box holds breakfast and lunch for seven days, families pick it up once, and every meal is easy to prepare. Our job was to make all of that obvious in a single picture.

THE BOX THAT EMPTIES OUT

Shot from directly overhead on a clean white counter, the box sits in the corner while a week of meals slides out across the frame: cereal cups, fruit cups, juice and snacks lined up in neat rows. We shot it as a sequence so it works as a stop motion too, with the meals pouring out of the box and filling the counter.

THE FAMILY TABLE

For the second look we laid out a bright green tablecloth and white plates, then plated all seven days of prepared meals around the box. It shows the other half of the story: these are real, warm meals on a real table.

THE BOX ITSELF

We finished with the packaging on a soft gray sweep, every side of the box shot so the school districts can see exactly what arrives.

HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL

Horizontal came first for websites and sales sheets, with vertical versions for social. Planning both formats into the shot list from the start means no awkward crops later.
