Habitat Series

My mixed media paintings delve into the essential world of pollinator habitats, drawing inspiration directly from the vibrant beauty and ecological balance of native plant gardens. Through layers of texture, color, and diverse materials, I aim to evoke the intricate ecosystems where pollinators thrive. Each piece highlights the delicate yet crucial relationship between native flora and the bees, butterflies, and other insects vital to our food systems and environmental health. My work serves as a visual celebration of these small yet mighty creatures, advocating for the urgent preservation and conservation of their natural habitats. Materials include canvas, watercolors, gouache, oils, and inks. My artwork is held in private collections in Florida, Arizona, Colorado, and California, and has garnered numerous awards as well as being featured in solo and group shows.
