California Pizza

This fun test shoot was inspired by California-style pizza, a genre known for its thin, crisp crust and inventive toppings. From BBQ chicken to Korean-Spiced Pepperoni and Vegetarian combinations, California pizza is all about creativity and innovation. Our inspiration came from a deeper dive into California-born foods, and, admittedly, from the very practical reason of bringing home a new outdoor pizza oven and putting it to work.

Test shoots like this give my modeling team practice handling food, drinks, and products, in both video and stills, let me experiment with new lighting ideas, and build fresh party-style scenes straight from the prop room. It’s creative play with purpose and delicious results.

I am a food, beverage, and CPG product photographer specializing in photos, stop motion, and video, with over 90,000 photos and motion graphics delivered. Clients hire me for my eye, creative direction, and passion for taking their idea to the next level.

My experience as a chef, stylist, and photographer has earned many awards, including APA Top 100, ACF Gold Medal, and a juried fine art photo exhibit at Art Basel Miami. I was Executive Pastry Chef for two Hyatt Hotels and Resorts before completing two post-baccalaureate certificates for Visual Art and Graphic Design at U.C. Berkeley Extension in San Francisco.
